Jenifer Trachtman

Jenifer Trachtman has been in the nonprofit sector for 30+ years with a focus on raising funds and raising awareness. She likes to think of my career trajectory as running through the entire STEAM continuum, starting in the arts as Director of Development for Tyler School of Art for 14 years and leading to her current position in the sciences as Director of Development for the Monell Center, a biomedical research institute. Being at Monell during the pandemic has been a critical juncture for her career. The Center studies the senses of taste and smell which are now, because of COVID, indelibly linked to public health and safety.

Monell’s work is more relevant and urgent than ever and Jennifer has had the great pleasure of developing a voice as a lay advocate for people worldwide experiencing taste and smell disorders. She has been a board member for several organizations and alumni groups in Philadelphia. Jenifer is among the Founders of both the Smell And Taste Association of North America and World Taste & Smell Day.
