Max C. Rossa

Max Rossa grew up in a household of contrasting worlds. His father, a mathematician and professor, was logical and pragmatic, while his mother, a baker, was imaginative and expressive. This unique upbringing sparked Max's interest in both the creative and analytical worlds, manifesting in his love for music and food, and his passion for the natural sciences.

After graduating from Eckerd College with a B.S. in biology, Max embarked on a 3-year master’s training in perfumery at ISIPCA in Versailles, France. Max joined Cosmo International Fragrances as a junior perfumer in 2022, where he excels in fragrance development across all categories— with a particular affinity for fine fragrance and candles. He draws inspiration for his creations from his world travels, food exploration, and love of nature. He is a strong advocate for the use of aromachemicals in perfumery, as he looks towards sustainable solutions that minimize the depletion natural resources, while increasing the level of precision that can be achieved in olfactive creation.

Max’s creation “Sole Calabrese” received the 2023 Public Award at the Mouillette d’Argent International Perfumery Contest in Spain and won the Jury Award for “Violet Saffron” in 2021. He has garnered dozens of wins across all categories for Cosmo International Fragrances that can be found currently in the market today.
