Take a Free Scratch-and-Sniff Test in the Parkinson’s Progressive Markers Initiative

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research is sponsoring a study exploring the connection between smell loss and Parkinson’s disease. 

Smell loss can be an early symptom of Parkinson’s,and can precede a Parkinson’s diagnosis by up to 10 years.

They are inviting anyone aged 60 and older in the U.S.S and Canada who have not been diagnosed with Parkinson’s to receive a free scratch-and-sniff smell test after answering a few questions. The smell test will be mailed, and answers recorded online. Based on these answers, some people may be asked to join the larger study.
